Bone tissue remodelling

Scope: Developing of new bone tissue remodelling models: Mechanological and Mechanobiological models. Development of multiscale numerical approaches able to predict the bone tissue response due to external and internal stimuli.

Femoral Implants

Scope: Design and optimization of femoral implants using advanced discretization techniques. Development of an automatic software to select the most suited femoral implant. Design new geometries for femoral implants, increasing the stiffness/weigh ratio.

Scope: Design and optimization of dental implants using advanced discretization techniques. Development of an automatic software to select the most suited dental implant. Design new geometries for femoral implants capable to increase the osteointegration percentage and reduce the time to achieve such percentage.

Scope: Extending equivalent single layer theories (transverse shear deformation theories) to meshless methods. Analyse isotropic plates, composite laminated plates and sandwich plates using new advanced discretization techniques. Extend meshless methods to the analysis of shells.
